A few things
worth knowing
How quickly can you get to a breakdown?
Call us and we’ll arrange an engineer as quickly as we can. Our engineers carry common parts on the van, so many faults can be repaired during the first visit.
What does a boiler service include?
We check the boiler’s safety, combustion, flue, seals, pressures and key components, cleaning where required. You’ll also receive a record of the service and anything we think needs attention.
Will servicing keep my boiler warranty valid?
Most manufacturer warranties require the boiler to be serviced annually. We’ll complete the service record you need, although you should always check the specific conditions of your warranty.
Do you provide landlord Gas Safety Certificates?
Yes. We can service the boiler and complete the required gas safety checks during the same visit for £145 + VAT, or issue the Gas Safety Certificate on its own for £90 + VAT. If there’s a gas fire, we can check that on the same visit for £35 + VAT extra.
How often do landlords need a gas safety check?
Gas appliances and flues provided for tenants generally need a gas safety check every 12 months. We’ll issue the Gas Safety Record after the inspection for your records and tenant.
What happens if you find a fault?
We’ll explain what we’ve found, whether it affects the safety or operation of the system, and what it will cost to put right before carrying out additional work.
Is there a cheaper way to cover servicing and repairs?
Our Boiler & Heating Care plans combine annual servicing with additional support and cover, with different levels available depending on what you need.
